#sol17 Family reunion

slice of lifeGlass of wine, food in the oven, family surrounding me, toddler playing. This is satisfaction.

Today is the first day of my family’s annual reunion in Vermont. J and I took the day off from work, K off from daycare. We left just after lunch from our home just north of Boston and drove through sunny weather and snow squalls to make it to West Dover, VT by mid-afternoon.

My family is loud. They are crazy. There are too many cooks in the kitchen, too many people to really play a solid game of Cards Against Humanity (although we make do), not quite enough beds, and only 3 bathrooms for 14 adults.

But we’ve been doing this for eight years now, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
